About us

The house, and how it was built

Borrowed living rooms, a bought set of chairs, long prayer nights, real battles, honest fear, and a God who kept His word anyway.

Our story

It started in a living room

On 13 August 2018 a small group went out to pray. Nobody set out that day to start a church. It was an outreach, and it was meant to end when the praying was done.

It did not end. This altar became a power house through prayer and we witnessed many miracles. The sick were healed, barren wombs opened, people got jobs, the depressed were set free, to mention but a few.

As the fellowship grew, members’ families desired to host it in their homes, and as the days went by we outgrew home living rooms and compounds and acquired our own rented premises, then and now to our present day permanent home in Nansana, Ssenge, Wakiso district. All this has been God’s doing and He is still doing marvellous things for Father’s House as a family in Uganda and world over.

As a leadership, we can only boast in the Lord, well knowing that it has not been by our power or knowledge. It has been the hand of the Lord.

The journey has not been void of battles, nor have the fears been absent. The story below is the honest version, not the brochure version.

Then Samuel took a stone and set it up, and called its name Ebenezer, saying, Till now the Lord has helped us.1 Samuel 7:12

The first prayer

A small group went out to pray. That is the whole of what was planned.

The living room

It carried on in a borrowed living room

The praying did not stop, so the meeting did not stop. It settled in the sitting room, and from the beginning it felt less like a service and more like a family.

Then

Another home opened

The first move. The same people carried the same prayer into a new room.

Then

And then to Jinja

A long way to travel, and still the same small company of people who would not let go of it.

Then

To Kisaasi

Passion started buying things obedience needed. Church seats were bought before there was a church to seat, and people came, one by one.

The name

Father’s House Christian Church

The name came as a premonition and then would not leave. A fire in the bones. He hesitated, and the call kept coming back until he answered it. The name said what the room already was: familial. One family added onto another, and then another.

The tent

Out of the sitting room

It compounded until the sitting room was not enough. The church moved out into the compound and a tent was bought. The journey was not void of battles, nor were the fears absent.

Then

Rented premises

Living rooms and compounds were outgrown, and the church moved into premises of its own, rented.

Now

A permanent home

Father’s House Christian Church gathers at its permanent home in Nansana, Ssenge, in Wakiso district. Two Sunday services, a midweek altar, counselling, Bible study, a monthly overnight, and eleven ministries carried by the people who were added one by one.

Vision and mission

Why this house exists

You are most welcome to Father’s House Christian Church Worldwide. These are the statements the church holds, in the church’s own words.

Vision

Prepare the bride of Christ.

Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready.Revelation 19:7
Mission

Our mission is to strengthen and deepen the faith of the community through teaching and spiritual practices, preparing them for the significant future events.

What a vision is for

It tells the house where it is going when the offering is low, when leaders are tired, and when an easier direction is available.

What a mission is for

It turns the vision into things a real person can do on a real Tuesday. If it cannot be scheduled, it is not yet a mission.

In existence since 2018

The church has carried this vision and mission since it began on 13 August 2018, under the leadership of Apostle Tuyizere Dusengumukiza.
